Connect LinktoDM to Zapier

LinktoDM’s Zapier integration is currently in private beta, so it won’t turn up if you search for it in Zapier’s app directory on its own. You accept an invite link once to unlock it — after that, LinktoDM behaves like any other app in your Zap editor, and you only connect your account once.

Accept the invite

1. Open the invite link: zapier.com/developer/public-invite/245216/f0fee79ca6bcee09181f79f9b4f16fd1.

2. Click Accept Invite & Build a Zap.

   Zapier flags that the app “has not been reviewed or approved by Zapier for functionality or security” — that’s standard for anything still in private beta, not a sign something’s wrong. Accepting just unlocks the app for your Zapier account.

3. Accepting takes you to your Zapier dashboard — you’ll land on the Zap workflows page. Click + Create to start a new Zap.

Add your account

1. In the Zap editor’s trigger step, search for LinktoDM and select it as your trigger app. It shows up tagged Invite Only — that tag is expected and just means the app hasn’t gone public on Zapier yet.

2. Pick a Trigger event — any of the six will do while you’re connecting, and New Contact is the simplest.

3. Under Account, click Sign in. Zapier first confirms you want to link this app:

4. Click Connect. Zapier opens a LinktoDM window in your browser.

5. Sign in with the account you use at console.linktodm.com and click Allow access on LinktoDM’s consent screen. If you manage more than one Instagram account, pick the one this connection should cover.

6. Back in Zapier, your account name appears under Account and Continue becomes available. That’s the connection done — future Zaps just pick this account from the dropdown instead of repeating steps 3–5.

Zapier only sees what this account can see

The connection inherits the permissions of the LinktoDM account you signed in with, and nothing more. Remove it whenever you like from Zapier’s My Apps page — Zaps using it stop firing immediately, and nothing in LinktoDM changes.

Connect a second account

One connection covers one LinktoDM account. To automate a second Instagram account, click Change next to Account in any Zap, choose Connect a new account, and sign in with that one. Zapier keeps both and lets you pick per Zap, so name them clearly — the account label is the only thing telling them apart later.

If it doesn’t connect

LinktoDM doesn’t show up when I search for it in Zapier. You haven’t accepted the invite yet — go back to Accept the invite above.

The sign-in window doesn’t open. Pop-up blockers swallow it. Allow pop-ups for zapier.com and click Sign in again.

“401 Unauthorized” on a Zap that used to work. The connection was removed or the session expired. Reconnect the account from Zapier’s My Apps page; your Zaps keep their configuration.
