Check Your DM Queue Status
Click In queue in the console sidebar to expand the panel. Collapsed, it shows a single total; expanded, it breaks that total down and shows the rate messages are going out at.
What each number means
Section titled “What each number means”- The count beside In queue is everything waiting for this account, follow-ups and DMs together. It’s visible with the panel collapsed, so it works as a glance-check while you’re doing something else.
- Follow-ups — messages scheduled for later by a follow-up step or a delay. These sit here until their timer is up, however long that is.
- DMs — messages ready to send now, waiting only on sending speed.
- 60 DMs/min is the rate the queue is releasing at right now. It isn’t fixed — see rate limits and throttling.

Is a number here a problem?
Section titled “Is a number here a problem?”Usually not. Read it as a rate, not a level — watch it for a minute and see which way it’s going.
- Falling — the spike is draining. Nothing to do.
- Holding steady on a busy post — messages are arriving about as fast as they’re going out. Also normal; it’ll drain when the comments slow down.
- Sitting in Follow-ups and not moving — expected. Those are waiting on their schedule, not on the queue.
- Climbing on an account with little traffic — worth a look. Check the queue isn’t paused first, since a paused queue fills without emptying, then work through Instagram automation not working.
A count of 0 while an automation is live is also normal, and the usual case: messages are leaving as fast as they arrive, so there’s never a backlog to show. To confirm an automation is actually firing, use its Hits column in the Automations list rather than the queue.
