Facebook login: the full automation feature set
Section titled “Facebook login: the full automation feature set”Connecting through Facebook is the route built around a Facebook Page. The Page is what carries the messaging and comment permissions, so it’s the Page you sign in to grant — and an Instagram account is optional.
All you need is a Facebook Page you administer. Connect it on its own and LinktoDM automates the Page: Messenger DMs, and comment-to-DM on your Facebook posts. No Instagram account has to be linked for that to work.
Link an Instagram account to the Page and you get the rest — Comment-to-DM, Story Replies, Click Tracking and Analytics on Instagram. Meta only exposes those capabilities through a Page, which is why this path is the one that unlocks them. For the Instagram side you’ll also need:
- An Instagram Business or Creator account (see Why an Instagram professional account is required).
- That account linked to your Facebook Page (see Why a Facebook Page is required).
Either way, sign in with a Facebook account that has admin access to the Page — being able to post to it isn’t enough, and the flow won’t complete without the admin role. If you have no Page and only want to automate Instagram, Connect your Instagram account covers the lighter path.
Connect with Facebook login
Section titled “Connect with Facebook login”1. Go to console.linktodm.com
2. Pick “Continue with Facebook”
The sign-in screen offers both Facebook and Instagram. Choose Facebook to unlock the advanced automation features.
3. Work through Meta’s permission screens
Log in with the Facebook account that administers your Page. Meta then walks you through four short screens.
